Good-Loop is committed to the wellbeing of each and every employee. This policy specifically outlines issues relating to people who are biologically female, regardless of how they identify, and we aim to manage situations with empathy and kindness. We acknowledge that everyone is different, and so we will review how we can provide the best possible support on an individual basis. We actively encourage and support open communication, sensitivity, and confidentiality.

Fertility treatment

<aside> 🤰🏼 Good-Loop will grant up to five days' leave for each round of fertility treatment. The policy applies equally to an employee whose partner is undergoing fertility treatment. If you need additional time off beyond the permitted number of days, there is flexibility, and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Menopause

<aside> 💚 We aim to facilitate an open, understanding working environment. You are encouraged to inform your line manager and/or the Head of People if you are experiencing menopausal symptoms at an early stage to ensure that symptoms are treated as an ongoing health issue rather than as individual instances of ill health. So, we offer up to one day of paid leave each month, to support your wellbeing.

For more information about how we practically support people experiencing the symptoms of menopause, please read our full policy (available once you join).

Menstruation

<aside> 🩸 We understand that some people may experience pain or discomfort relating to their menstrual cycle, which may prevent them from performing work duties to the best of their ability. We want you to feel able to speak up and seek help when this happens. So, we offer up to one day of paid leave each month, to support your wellbeing, to coincide with your menstrual cycle.

Pregnancy loss / pregnancy termination

<aside> 🌷 Pregnancy loss and pregnancy terminations can have significant physical and emotional consequences, which may affect an employee (and their partner’s) attendance or performance at work. We are committed to supporting those who are affected and encourage you to discuss your situation with us if you are comfortable doing so.
