Out of office, on!

The annual leave period is from 1 January to 31 December. Your entitlement can be found in PeopleHR (our HR Information System).

<aside> ⏳ You start off with 33 days (inclusive of public holidays) per year. Holiday is accrued monthly, so if you start with us part-way through the year, you’ll be allocated your time off pro-rata to your start date.

<aside> 📅 We ask that you book leave throughout the year to make sure you’re having regular breaks and that you try to take all your leave entitlement within the leave year in which it is accrued.

What if I need more time off?

You may purchase up to 5 extra days per year. We’ll then deduct the cost from your salary, monthly, throughout the rest of the year (so best get your request in, in January, to give you plenty of time to pay it back).

Once you have been with us for 3 years, we add another 2 days to your allowance as a thank you for your long service 😊

Once you’ve been with us for 5 years, we will grant you a one-off 3-week super holiday! Yay!

<aside> 🚨 You’ll need to save some leave if you wish to book time off during the festive period in December and Public Holidays need to be booked off just like any other day.

How to book time off

<aside> ⚠️ Please don’t make any travel arrangements/ hotel bookings until you have approval, as if your leave request is subsequently refused, you will remain liable for any costs incurred associated with the cancellation / rebooking of your holiday. Eeeek.
